About

SMP, built on years of working with hair every day.

From the chair to the studio

I've been a barber for years. Working with hair every day teaches you to see things most people don't notice. The way a hairline frames a face. How density shifts across the scalp. Where hair grows in different directions. The small details that separate a good cut from a great one.

Scalp micropigmentation is the same craft, applied differently. Same eye for detail, same understanding of how hair sits, just with a needle instead of clippers.

I trained formally in SMP and now run Danny Jacobs SMP from a private studio in Prahran, alongside cutting hair at Brother Wolf Prahran.

The Studio

The studio is private, by appointment only. One client at a time, with the time and space to do the work properly.

Treatments are tailored to the individual and built gradually across multiple sessions. The goal is always the same: results that look natural, age well, and hold up under any light.

Two men having a conversation in an office. The man on the left is gesturing with his hands, seated at a desk with a laptop, notebook, and pen. The man on the right, wearing glasses and a dark jacket, is sitting on a stool facing the first man. The office has plain walls, a window with blinds, and a row of benches in the foreground.

How I work

SMP done well is quiet work. It shouldn't announce itself. The right result is one that looks like it's always been there.

That means a conservative approach. Building density gradually, matching pigment carefully to skin tone and follicle colour, planning every hairline around the individual. No shortcuts, no rushing.

Every treatment starts with a free consultation. We talk through what's possible, plan the right approach, and only move forward when you're ready.
